The stuff horror movies are made of...
...is how Carl described the prospect of me doing a night shift on Halloween, on a ward full of mad, old people! However, as yet there has been nothing too scary, except the schizophrenic lady in bed 17 who keeps making funny noises in her throat, and the one in room 2 who tried to escape down the corridor with a catheter in while the bag was still attached to the bed! Oh, and me when I came back from my sleep break* with my hair sticking up on end and a squeak instead of a voice, but a bit of strawberry yoghurt soon solved that (the voice that is not the hair- that could have been very scary!). Oooooh, we have a later entrant for the scary people competition- the man in bay 5 who put his hand on my right buttock for support as he stood up from the comode!
