The Plan, Batman
Sorry to keep you all in suspence for so long, I've been rather busy and keep forgetting to blog. Spent most of last week up north in Leeds with Carl, which was lovely. Since getting back late on Saturday I have worked everyday, and am working again tomorrow for 11.5 hours, followed by 2 hours helping at a Scout group that is run on the childrens ward! No rest for the wicked/those who are applying to medicine! So, as you may have guessed I am still going for medicine, I'm just taking the very long route! I'm going to spend the majority of this year working as a nurse, with as much voluntary and extra-curricular stuff as I can fit in, and inbetween revise for two modules of RS and two of biology in January, and then several of chemistry in the summer. Following all that I have several possible summer expeditions planned, none of which have been confirmed yet, but will be some kind of voluntary placement. The current locations I'm looking at are Bulgaria (with NCBC) and Canada with Camp Quality, but I may end up doing something completely different! Over the summer whem I'm not doing stuff I'll sort out all my uni application and send it off as soon as I can. I shall then jet off late summer/early autumn to Nepal until Christmas to work in an orphanage and teach English in a local school. While there I am possibly planning to visit Tibet and India. After the festivities, I will stay for as long as necessary to go to all the interviews that the uni's will be begging me to attend (!) which should only take until the end of Febuary ish. After that I'm off to Ghana for 3 months to do various medical placements, followed by a flight home (probably) via South Africa to go to Johannesburg for safari and visiting a friend purposes, and then Durban to see my family there, surf and swim with sharks! After all of that I might decide to come home or I might just continue to fly around the world doing cool stuff! Thoughts, comments and criticisms would be appreciated! 7:58 PM Comment (4) ...
