The Gap Year has begun...
...with me finishing my auxiliary nursing training week! I just have to do two assessed mornings on the wards next week and then I shall (hopefully) be a fully qualified auxiliary! If all goes to plan this will be my main source of funding for my travels, however any donations would also be accepted!!! The week involved learning all the basic skills we shall need; taking blood pressures, temperatures and pulses, packing bodies(stuffing orifices with cotton wool - just as pleasant as it sounds!), bed bathing, sheet changing, catheter bag changing and many other exciting activities! Had a great bunch of girls training with me so it was a very fun week filled with many giggles. Along with all of that I'm also trying to decide how I'm going to organise my travelling, i.e. what order I'm going to go places, when, for how long and how much fun stuff I can fit in around it!
